What We Do
The Regatta Shop specialise in corporate, team, club, crew and school wear. We provide official merchandise to many sporting events in Australia, including rowing, netball, snow sports, athletics and swimming.
As the first company in Australia to supply rowing memorabilia, The Regatta Shop have been supplying rowing specific event merchandise at regattas since 1992. The Regatta Shop has over thirty years experience in branded merchandise.
With access to an extensive catalogue of garments that cater for every application, we can ensure we meet your team, event or corporate uniform requirements.

Our History
The Regatta Shop is a family business established in 1989, owned and run by Susie and David Palfreyman and managed by their son-in-law Gyles Miller. To say that rowing runs in the Palfreyman veins is an understatement... between them, Susie and David have almost 90 years rowing experience (this adds up to more than 30,000 possible days on the water!) Both Susie and David were part of the 1980 Moscow Olympic team and David also coached a crew at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
David began as a coxswain, representing Australia in the Commonwealth Games where his crew won Gold. He then progressed to rowing and coaching for Australia – a unique feat unequalled by any other in the rowing fraternity.
Susie has coxed internationally and was the founder, and for 13 years, the head coach at Methodist Ladies College (Victoria) Rowing Club. She was also instrumental in the formation of the Head of the Schoolgirls Regatta, one of the biggest all girls regattas in the world.
In 2011 The Regatta Shop formed a partnership with the US based manufacturer JL Racing to supply the Australian market with quality On Water and Off Water Sportswear specific to Rowing and Paddling. This partnership has seen The Regatta Shop appointed the preferred supplier to Rowing Australia for the Australian Rowing Team from 2013 - 2016. Due to the outstanding quality of product and service we provide, numerous clubs and schools have opted to nominate us as their supplier of choice for their teamwear through our online Club Shop.
Since opening onsite in 1992, The Regatta Shop has been supplying quality event merchandise at the following regattas:
- The Australian and National Rowing Championship (currently the Sydney International Rowing Regatta)
- Victorian APS, NSW AAGPS, Qld BSRA, SA & IGSSA WA Heads of the River
- Head of the Schoolgirls' Regatta in Victoria & NSW
- Head of the Lake
- State Championships in Victoria, NSW, Qld, SA & WA
- Masters Regattas at National & State level
In 2009 we broadened our event focus to partner with Victorian Interschools to provide merchandise onsite during the ISSC Victorian Championships at Mt Buller. The following year this association broadened to include NSW Interschools with a presence at the Australian Interschool Snow Sports Championships.
World Rowing announced us as their Australian supplier in 2012 and we merchandised a bespoke WR range for the World Cup events held in Sydney alongside the National Championships in 2013 & 2014.
A partnership with Netball Victoria as Official Merchandise supplier developed in 2016. Triathlon Queensland followed in 2017 and appointed us as their Merchandise partner.
