We're proud partners of the 2017 Ma-row-thon in support of beyondblue. The event will take place at Melbourne Rowing Club at 2 p.m. for a 3 p.m. start on Saturday, 9 Sept 2017.
Participants will take part in a rowing erg marathon (42km), half marathon(21km), or 10km row. The event is followed by drinks and bbq, the proceeds from which will be going to beyondblue.

The story behind this initiative?
Henry Jarvis, the creator of Ma-Row-Thon, is a long time sufferer of depression. Last year was a particularly bad time for him and during that time it was the resources that beyondblue provided that assisted him through the worst of it while struggling with both depression and the difficulties of life in a new city full of strangers.
It was pure chance that landed Henry at Melbourne Rowing Club, after walking to the Yarra and deciding to ask one of the members how to join as he was washing his single at the front of the boatshed. Rowing helped Henry build a group of friends, got him back into exercise and healthy eating and lifestyle habits, and has greatly improved his ability to deal with his condition. Ma-Row-Thon is Henry's opportunity to give something back to Melbourne Rowing Club and to beyond blue.
